System design
Sound design is the cornerstone of an intelligent technology integration that respects both the artistic environment and functionality of a space. It involves accurately determining what type of equipment should be used and how it must be installed in order to optimize not only a system’s ergonomics and performance, but also its smooth operation. Sound design must therefore be meticulously carried out so as to accurately predict how the equipment will evolve in a given environment. It can be adapted to tours and one-time events as well as permanent installations.
The design stage must be completed before all the other steps required to ensure a sound system’s efficient operation can be initiated and entails an analysis of the client’s needs and allocated budget, the carrying out of comprehensive acoustic studies, computer-based acoustic simulation (EASE), the drawing up of technical plans and the integration of equipment in a space, the modelling of the proposed concept, the pinpointing of procedures to be carried out and finally the automation planning if necessary.
